Service Agreement

By engaging MBM Accounting & Tax Services LLC for professional services, you agree to these terms and conditions. Our services include tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, and financial consulting.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing complete, accurate, and timely information
  • Maintaining organized records and documentation
  • Responding promptly to requests for information
  • Reviewing and approving all work before submission
  • Payment of fees according to agreed terms
  • Notifying us of any changes affecting your tax or financial situation

Our Professional Standards

MBM Accounting & Tax Services commits to:

  • Maintaining professional competence and ethical standards
  • Providing services with due professional care
  • Maintaining confidentiality of client information
  • Communicating clearly about scope, fees, and timelines
  • Staying current with tax laws and accounting standards

Fees and Payment

  • Fees are based on complexity, time required, and services provided
  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements are made
  • Late payment may result in interest charges and suspension of services
  • Additional fees may apply for rush services or extensive revisions
  • Estimates are provided in good faith but final fees may vary based on actual work required

Scope of Services

Our services are limited to those specifically agreed upon in writing. We do not provide:

  • Legal advice (consult an attorney for legal matters)
  • Investment advice (consult a licensed investment advisor)
  • Audit or assurance services unless specifically contracted
  • Services outside our areas of professional competence

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to:

  • The amount of fees paid for the specific service in question
  • Direct damages resulting from our negligence or errors
  • We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or punitive damages
  • Claims must be made within one year of service completion

Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and will not disclose information without written consent except as required by law or professional standards.

Document Retention

  • We retain client files according to professional standards and legal requirements
  • Clients are responsible for maintaining their own copies of important documents
  • We may destroy files after the required retention period
  • Electronic copies may be provided upon request and payment of reasonable fees

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the professional relationship with written notice. Upon termination:

  • All outstanding fees become immediately due
  • We will provide completed work and client documents
  • Confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely
  • We may withdraw from representation if professional standards require

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through:

  • Good faith negotiation as the first step
  • Mediation if negotiation is unsuccessful
  • Binding arbitration if mediation fails
  • Colorado state law governs all agreements

Electronic Communications

By using our services, you consent to electronic communications including:

  • Email correspondence for routine matters
  • Secure portals for sensitive document transmission
  • Electronic signatures on appropriate documents
  • Digital delivery of completed work products
Important Notice

These terms constitute the entire agreement between client and MBM Accounting & Tax Services LLC. Any modifications must be in writing and signed by both parties.
